These are some of the problems we face in our daily lives.

You know back in the days of the Old Testament people worshiped idols. There are cultures, countries, even religions that worship idols. We are told not to worship anything but God Himself. We are told not to put nothing above God at all. I have a friend that lives in China, at one time my friend worshiped idols but when my friend gave her self to Jesus, she got rid of all the idols. For she did not need those things no more. This is such an amazing thing to hear in what Jesus can do in our lives.

John says in 1 John 5:21
21: Little children, guard yourselves from idols.

Feeling alone

Well we know at times we can feel so alone. There are times it feel like I am so lonely that I can not get out of this and also it feels like Jesus isn’t with me. I have talked with people and gone through it myself were I have gone days, weeks, and months feeling this way. See we will get trapped in our own lives and will tend to forget what is right, meaning that we need to talk to Jesus and read His word. The word of God is the water of life as it was told to me and that would be true. Jesus even said that He will never forsake us and promises that He will always be there for us in our time of need. There are times we will go through things in our lives and feel this way and Jesus waits for us to cry out to Him so He can help us in our time of need. Please remember that Jesus loves you and that He is always there for all of His children waiting to help us in our daily lives. So I would have to say keep reading God’s word and open your heart and let Him heal you, go to church and have fellowship, Talk to your pastor or talk to another Christian that will listen to you. See I am truly blessed for the friends that Jesus has brought in to my life because they can help me or me help them in their or my time of need. Remember my friends, Jesus loves us and bring peace and comfort in our lives when we need it which is all the time.

In Psalms 42:1-11
1: As the deer pants for the water brook, So my soul pants for You, O God.
2: My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God?
3: My tears have been my food day and night, While they say to me all day long, Where is your God?
4: These things I remember and I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go along with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of God, With the voice of joy and thanksgiving, a multitude keeping festival.
5: Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him For the help of His presence.
6: O my God, my soul is in despair within me; Therefore I remember You from the land of the Jordan and the peaks of Hermon, from Mount Mizar.
7: Deep call to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves rolled over me.
8: The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime; And His song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life.
9: I will say to God my rock, Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
10: As a shattering of my bones, my adversaries revile me, while they say to me all day long, Where is your God?
11: Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

I know there are times when people do something wrong to another person they would say sorry or ask for forgiveness. Some people will say yes that they forgive them or say it is ok not to worry about it no more. I can even tell you that I have said something wrong to another Christian and I asked for her forgiveness and she said to me forgiveness is for God, well to be truthful with you I felt bad. Well she was right only in a way I can understand but we are told to forgive one another not to for give for our sins but to show love and kindness. I know as Christians giving forgiveness is a hard thing to do, because of our sinful humanity can get in the way. To show forgiveness to someone will show the love and the kindness of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. By giving forgiveness to some one we become a good testimony to God.

Paul says in Ephesians 4:32

32: Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

Judging People

Well let me start with it is not our place as Christians to judge people at all for it is God’s alone only. I know from my own time in talking to people I have made my comments to people and it isn’t right. Even talking with other Christians and hear them say the singer should not be in the secular world because it isn’t right. See we just don’t know were God wants us in the world and don’t know the person. I know there are Christian musicians out in the world how are doing God work, how can we judge them, we can not because what happens if they bring more people to Christ. How can that be wrong? It is God place to judge not ours. We have to keep in mind, can you see in to a person heart? Do you know their life in how they live? Do you know what a person is thinking? Well I would have to say no to these questions. Let’s leave it in Jesus hands and let Him deal with it, for that is the best place for us to deal with this.

In Psalm 50:6 it says

6: And the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is Judge.

Jesus says in Matthew 7:1-5
1: Do not judge so that you will not be judge.
2: For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.
3:”why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
4: “Or how can you say to your brother, Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye?
5: “You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out your brother’s eye.

There are times when we have doubt in our lives, like when things go wrong or things not go our way. We also doubt in the fact that we can not see things with our own eyes or when things get rough we doubt too. When we doubt is when we start to lose sight of Jesus. As Christians we do doubt from time to time, these things happen but I would have to say press on and continue to talk to Jesus, let Jesus take away your doubt and continue to believe and doubt no more.

I want to take a look at the Disciple Thomas, it was after Jesus crucifixion all the disciples scattered for they were scared and who can blame them for we lost our Lord Jesus. You know they have doubted and you really can’t blame them. Now it was after Jesus has risen on the third day and Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to the Grave of Jesus. Well after sometime some of the disciples saw the Lord and Thomas wasn’t with them and Thomas said that he would not believe in that unless he put his finger into the place of the nails and in His side. A few days later the disciples and Thomas went into a room and the doors was shut. Then Jesus came into the room and said “Peace be with you.” Then He said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.” And Thomas said to Jesus “My Lord and my God!”

The apostle John Says in 20:26-31

26: After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.”
27: Then He said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.”
28: Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
29: Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”
30: Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book;
31: but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.

Let’s take a quick look at the disciple Peter when he tries to walk on water. After Jesus has fed 5000 people He told the disciples to get into the boat and go a head of Him to the other side. After some time of Jesus being on the mountain praying, it was evening and He was there alone. Jesus started to walk on water to catch up to His disciples but it was windy and the water was rough. When the disciples looked out in the water they thought they saw a ghost but it was Jesus coming to them. Peter said to Him, Lord if that is really you command me to come to you the water and Jesus said “come!” Peter went out on to the water and started to walk and after a few second to a minute peter became frightened and fell into the water and began to sink and crying out to Jesus to save him, so Jesus got Peter hand and said to him “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”
Matthew says in 14:24-33

24: But the boat was already a long distance from the land, battered by the waves; for the wind was contrary.
25: And in the forth watch of the night He came to them, waling on the sea.
26: When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “it is a ghost!” And they cried out in fear.
27: But immediately Jesus spoke to them saying “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”
28: Peter said to Him, “Lord if that is really you command me to come to you the water.”
29: And He said “Come!” And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came towards Jesus.
30: But seeing the wind he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord save me!”
31: Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”
32: When they got into the boat, the wind stopped.
33: And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, “You are certainly God’s Son!”

Marriage (Saved & Unsaved Persons)

When it comes to marriage, it is a beautiful thing because your husband and you work together as one. We do know it does take work too and no one said it would be easy at all. When you really love each other with Jesus love, then things will work out better. When it comes to couples who get married and one person who is saved the other who is not saved it will become hard. See what I mean is that a saved person will go to church or do a ministry. Then there will be times the person who isn’t saved will not want the person who is saved to do anything for Jesus. Then the conflict will start and that will become very hard for the saved person. There will be times when the unsaved person will say mean things to the saved person.

I know that at times the saved person will put up with it for a while but then there comes a time when a saved person starts to think about getting a divorce. But the best thing to do is to pray for your husband or wife who isn’t saved. The other thing is that if the unsaved person wants to leave let them and don’t stop them. Yes, it will hurt in your heart and there is no doubt.

I want to let all of you know that I am not married but I know there are people who are married that are saved and their spouse is not. This does break my heart to hear of these things. The Scriptures can go both for man and woman. It is better to be sad and single, then marry an unsaved person.

Paul says in 1 Corinthians 7:10-16

10: But to the married I give instructions, not I, but the Lord, that the wife should not leave her husband
11: (but if she does leave, she must remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband should not divorce his wife.
12: But to the rest I say not the Lord, that if any brother has a wife who ia an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he must not divorce her.
13: And a woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he consents to live with her, she must not send her husband away.
14: For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy.
15: Yet if the unbelieving one leaves, let him leave; the brother or the sister in not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us to peace.
16: For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save you husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?

Pride is a very bad thing because I know when people or myself do things, meaning thinking you above everyone. Like putting other people down to make them feel bad so you can feel above them or to make them think your better. Well lets look at Satan, he was suppose to be the most beautiful angel that was created, well it went to his head and now he thinks he is God and thinking that he can over throw God. We know that is impossible! Pride can come in many ways, like thinking that you can keep yourself from sinning by no having bad thoughts, keeping from doing bad things or in saying the wrong things to someone and other things like that. I know there are times in my life I think I am doing well by not doing bad things and then it happens meaning I will stumble because of my pride. See it just can be the way we act, think or speak Etc... Well when these things happen Jesus humbles us by showing us what we have done by reading His word or listening to someone who speaks of Jesus words. Maybe sometimes you may sit alone, listen to music that will make you feel bad because of the pride in all of us. We have to keep in mind that we all have pride in our lives but the one thing we can do is pray to Jesus and ask to help us not to be prideful at all.

Solomon and Others say in Proverbs 8:13

13: The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverted mouth, I hate.

Fear of Death

Well now when it comes to Death we all fear it. As Christians we should not fear death because Jesus gives life not death. I can understand the fact that death doesn't scare me but the fact of how I am going to die is not going to pleasant at all. So we should not fear death because as Christians we have life because of Jesus Christ our Savior. The thing is we all know we are all going to die because of the curse of the world.

In John 2:24 Jesus says:

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but passed out of death into life.

Talking to People

I know talking with people can be a very hard to do at times. For me there are times we forget to talk with Love, kindness or compassion because I tend to forget to remember where I came from. Meaning I was once unsaved. It is easy to look at other people and tell them how to live, what to do or what to say. It was even said that we should remember were you come from. But now when I talk to people I try to look at them if I was talking to myself, remembering were I came from and to speak with Love, Compassion, gentleness and respect.

Paul says in Titus 2-8

2: to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men.
3: For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lust and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.
4: But when the kindness of God our Savior and His Love for mankind appeared,
5: He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
6: whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7: so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
8: This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men.

There are time when something happens in our lives like when someone hits us or says something to us in a mean way. I know there are times when things happen and we want to take things in our own hands. Sometimes we might take the time to plan a way to get back at the person who did the bad thing to us. Sometimes we will say something harsh back to the person to make them feel bad because they hurt us. We should not take things in our hands but we do have the right to defend ourselves. It is tough to let go of our humanity and let Jesus handle our problems.

Paul says in Romans 12:19

19: Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance Is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.

Being Single

Being single is a tough and lonely thing, but being single can have its advantages too. We are able to focus on God. I also know that in our time of need we can talk to Jesus and let Him know how we feel about being alone and let him handle our problems. Please remember we are not truly alone we have Jesus with us all the time. What I can say is that we can do more for Jesus in His name. Keep talking to Jesus, read His word, have fellowship, and do a ministry.

Paul says in 1 Corinthians. 7:32

32: "But I want you to be free from concern. One who is unmarried is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord".

Work Place

We know that in places we work, we have tough times. People think that we should never talk about Jesus in the work place and they would say it is wrong to talk about it. I work in a casino. It is has gambling, drinking and other things, I know that Jesus would want me there to be His light in a dark place. It isn't easy to work there because I hear things that are not right in God's eyes. I have to work but I don't partake in what the gambling, drinking and other things that goes on in there. I work there in hope that one day more people will come to Christ, I do ask Jesus to give me wisdom, strength, compassion and love to get by in the work place. We also have to remember that we work for God and no one else.

Paul says in Colossians 3:22-25

22: Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.
23: Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men,
24: knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
25: For he who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and that without partiality.

Well money is such a worldly thing when it becomes you driving force in life. We know we have to work in life to survive, so we do not starve. We should not make money our driving force in life but but people do and greed comes into play and when this happens we become blind from what Jesus really is. We should put money to the side and make God our driving force in life. Someone I know said to me money is everything in this world and that is what it is all about. Well to me money comes and goes but Jesus is forever and we should put our trust in Him and he will provide everything for us.

Paul says in 1 Timothy 6:10

10: For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Sex is a subject is a tough thing for those who are not bound to Jesus. A lot of people in the world will just sleep with people anytime they want to. They will do a lot of sexual things with people or by themselves just to please the flesh. A child of God has a tough time with this problem too but it doesn't make this right. We want to do the right thing in the sight of God. I have talked with people that say to fix this problem it is best to get married. We can have a rough time finding the right person to marry. Being with someone in a sexual way is a sacred thing, just like marriage is a sacred thing too. Having sexual relations belongs in marriage only.

Paul says in 1 Corinthians 7:1-9

1: Now concerning the things about which you wrote, it is good for a man not to touch a woman.
2: But because of immoralities, each man is to have his own wife, and each woman is to have her own husband.
3: The husband must fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise also the wife to her husband.
4: The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise also the does not have authority over his body, but the wife does.
5: Stop depriving one another, except by agreement for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer, and come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
6: But this I say by way of concession, not of command.
7: Yet I wish that all men were even as i myself am. However, each man has his own gift from God, one in this manner, and another in that.
8: But I say to the unmarried and to widows that it is good for them if they remain even as I.
9: But if they do not have self-control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
